Trustees that make a difference

Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity, providing specialist palliative care services for any islander with a life limiting condition and a Community Bereavement Service.

A Council of Trustees oversees its activities, and is responsible for implementing the vision for current and future services through the development of strategy, policy, good governance and support of the charities executive team.

We are looking to recruit up to 3 new Trustees on Council this year, to complement the balance of existing skills, experience and knowledge. Applicants should be able to demonstrate proven leadership and governance skills at board level gained in a clinical, commercial or community context.

We would particularly welcome interest from individuals with professional skills or competencies in:
• Delivery of clinical services
• Retail experience in a multi-site operation
• Digital media, including current ICT expertise and the use of social media

Jersey Hospice Care is keen to have a Council that represents a wide range of perspectives and viewpoints from all levels and is representative of the whole community in Jersey. We would welcome applications from individuals who could improve the diversity of Council and who could contribute to the sustainable future of Hospice for Jersey’s community.
