The next date for the Dynamics & Consequences of Domestic Abuse workshop is 17 March 2017.

The workshop is designed for professionals working with families and discusses signs of domestic abuse, the impact on women and children as well as what support there is for families. Two info talks for professionals seeking to improve their knowledge of domestic abuse:

23 March 2016 - Post-Separation Abuse
Held at Elim Rock Church

Leaving an abusive partner does not always mean this is the end of the abuse. This talk will cover the different forms of post-separation abuse, how children are affected and will discuss strategies to support the victim.

22 June 2016 - Child to Parent Abuse (APVA)
Venue TBC

APVA is a hidden form of domestic abuse which may be difficult to identify. The presentation aims to improve participant's ability to recognise the presence of APVA in a family and will also discuss what there is to offer in Jersey to support these families.

The cost is 10 pounds p/p and there is limited amount of spaces on each talk so book early to avoid disappointment. If you are interested, please complete the application form and return it to outreach@jerseywomensrefuge.org
