Brief Description of Activities: To provide the General Hospital & other hospital centres with goods & services and to donate profits made to patient facilities.

Volunteer Position: Open Day Volunteers and Cafe & Shop Volunteers

Brief Description of Duties: An open coffee morning is to be held in the Caf (Parade Entrance) on Saturday 14th October between 10.00am and 12.00pm, and general duties include making and serving light refreshments, chatting to customers and unfortunately, clearing up and doing the dishes. Many of our customers are regulars who are attending hospital clinics and the cafe provides a bit of respite and somewhere for them to relax. Shifts are for 2 1/2 hours starting at 9.30, 12 and 2.30. Even if you can't commit to a regular shift, we would like to hear from you if you could do short term holiday cover, for example, or term time only. Prior experience in catering is not essential but common sense and a friendly attitude are.

Description of Activities: To offer services to support and help separated parents form a parenting partnership putting their children first. This will be achieved by offering on-going support, group meetings, Milli's Child Contact Centre, workshops, courses and other related services to all family members, grandparents, friends, employers and anybody affected by family separation.

Brief description of duties: We are looking for volunteers who are willing to give up a few hours once or twice a month on Sunday mornings. There will be various training sessions, first aid, safeguarding and so on together with a DBS check.

Name of Organisation: St. Ouens Youth Club Committee.

Description of Activities (of organisation): The St. Ouens Youth Club is a registered charity and we are open three evenings a week where we provide a broad range of personal and social development opportunities for young people aged 8 to 18 years of age. The Youth Club Committee is responsible for making sure that the organisation sticks to its aims and objectives as detailed in the Constitution. Our Youth Club Committee currently consists of a Chairperson, a Secretary and one member. We meet approximately every 6 weeks at St. Ouen’s Youth & Community Centre and we are currently looking for the following voluntary roles to join our Youth Club Committee.

Volunteer Position available: Youth Club Committee Treasurer.

Brief description of duties:
• Keeping an overview of the finances of the organisation.
• Reporting into committee meetings.
• Making sure the organisation has the right financial policies and procedures in place.
A key part of the Treasurer's role involves reporting to the committee on the youth club finances. The Treasurer has a specific role within the committee in relation to money matters but the overall responsibility for financial management lies with the whole committee. The organisation is a registered charity so therefore we have to comply with specific financial regulations. Good management of finances is helpful for the smooth running of the organisation.
