A link to our Facebook page for tickets would be as follows: https:/facebook.com/interactclubjersey/

And Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sustainability-forum-for-you…

Brief on event:
Four environmental heroes are coming to our Sustainability Forum giving you the opportunity to ask questions, learn from their experiences, discuss your ideas for projects, and then join others to form our new Interact Club and take your ideas forward.

The four heroes are:
Elis Joudalova
who brought to Jersey the food sharing app OLIO. Now Elis and her team of volunteers rescue over half a ton of food every week!
“Reduce waste
and embrace plastic free living” is the mantra of SCOOP, the sustainable cooperative, organised by India Hamilton and Kaspar Wimberley. Their low waste organic food shop at Vermont Farm is now up and running.
Jane Burns
of Plastic Free Jersey knows exactly why plastic waste is such a problem and Jane will explain how you can be part of the solution. ”Scratch the surface of our gorgeous beaches and you can find broken glass, barbecue debris, cigarette butts and plastic bottles
– there’s a lot of junk out there. It’s unsightly, but it can also cause serious harm to marine wildlife.”
Earth Project
Jersey say Our Island’s natural systems, fresh water, healthy food, fresh air, impact us all and soil is the common denominator. Earth Project aim to improve the built and natural environment that we all enjoy and to promote Renewables, reduce Plastic pollution,
combat Climate change, increase Biodiversity, etc. Andrew Le Quesne will be there to explain more.

To help the discussions along tea/coffee/soft-drinks/water will be provided and some pastries and cookies!……

What have you got to lose? Come along and try it out, you never know where it may lead…………

Any questions? If so, do contact us.
