Enjoy the magical Oaklands Garden, St Peter Entrance £6 per person, children under 12 free Activities – Tombola, nature trail with bird experts and mugs and bowls for sale crafted by Oaklands’ potters. Cream teas will be served by our committee and kind volunteers all afternoon @ £5.50 each We regret no dogs Oakland’s rolling lawns run from the house to the large pond filled with a huge variety of friendly duck, on a site that was originally farmland. Carefully selected herbaceous plants and shrubs provide this well established garden with plenty for the plantsman to enjoy. As you walk through the naturalised areas, you will find Cherries, Exochorda, Azalea and Rhododendron and further still a beautiful woodland walk with a carpet of bluebells. Oaklands is a plantsman’s garden with a well recognised arboretum. The trees planted by Jurat Bonn include Acer, Drimys, Michelia, Dawn Redwood and what is reputed to be Jersey’s largest Walnut tree! An informal and natural feel prevails throughout. A further highlight is the well-stocked kitchen garden which keeps the family self-sufficient in fruit and veg. Open by kind permission of owners.
