Deputy Shop Manager – closing 8 February 2025
Jersey Hospice Care ware looking for a Deputy Shop Manager, to join the Retail Department.
The postholder will support the Senior Shop Manager with the day-to-day management of the shop team, building good team spirit by effectively communicating with Head of Retail, Senior Shop Manager, employees, and volunteers. Train employees and volunteers so they understand their roles and responsibilities and the importance of delivering excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will hold significant retail experience, supervisory or management experience with the ability to develop and performance manage a team, key holding experience and cash handling and reconciliation.
Retail Assistant (part-time, 28 hours) – Holme Grown – closing 29 January 2025
Jersey Hospice Care is looking for a part-time Retail Assistant, to join our Retail Team at Holme Grown, Grouville.
The postholder will work with employees and volunteers to assist with the operation of Jersey Hospice Care’s retail fundraising shops. The post holder is required to greet customers, respond to customer queries, and assist shoppers in purchasing goods. Other duties include receiving donations, replenishment of stock and maintaining the shop floor in line with shop standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in customer service within a retail environment, a basic understanding of visual merchandising techniques and experience of operating a till and cash handling disciplines.
Senior Shop Coordinator – Holme Grown – closing 29 January 2025
Jersey Hospice Care are looking for a Senior Shop coordinator, to join our Retail Team.
The postholder will support the management team in the day to day running of Jersey Hospice Care’s Holme Grown fundraising shop and will maintain a high level of customer service and maximise revenue. The Senior Shop Co-ordinator will also be required to provide cover in the absence of the Senior Shop Manager and work in partnership with other Jersey Hospice Care Shops, staff and volunteers.
The ideal candidate will hold previous relevant retail experience, excellent interpersonal and people skills and able to demonstrate high quality and standards of customer service.
Bank Receptionist (zero-hour) – closing 29 January 2025
Jersey Hospice Care ware looking for a Bank Receptionist, to join the Facilities team.
The postholder will be required to provide a first class professional and efficient front of house reception, telephone and administrative service for the organisation.
The post holder will be the first point of contact for all Jersey Hospice Care visitors, and responsible for incoming telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate department/person.
The ideal candidate will have a good standard of verbal English, have previous experience in a reception related role, previous experience of dealing with customers and an appreciation of the need for absolute confidentiality and discretion.
